FIFA bans football agents on eligibility violations

On 19.11.2024, FIFA published 14 decisions, sanctioning candidate and/or licenced football agents for infringement of the eligibility criteria.

In 10 cases, the agents/individuals were found to have violated article 5.1 (b) FFAR, providing football agents services without holding a FIFA licence. In 8 of these cases, the agents were punished with ineligibility to acquire a licence for 2 years. In one case of these, the agent’s licence was provisionally suspended.

In 3 cases, the licenced agents were found in breach of Article 5.1(a) lit. ii FFAR (convicted for certain criminal charges) and their licence has been provisionally suspended by the FIFA General Secretariat.

In 1 case, the Agent was found in breach of article 5.1.(a) lit i, iv & v (holding an interest at a club, league, association or academy and providing misleading information to FIFA), and their licence was provisionally suspended.
