AP Sports Law was proud to participate in the 4th Beyond Football Conference, where our Head Lawyer, Alkis Papantoniou, delivered a presentation titled “Beyond Traditional Ownership”, focusing on the growing impact of Multi-Club Ownership (MCO) structures in modern football.

The discussion explored how MCO models are reshaping the football landscape by creating new pathways for investment, talent development, operational synergies, and long-term value creation across clubs and markets.
Among the key takeaways was the continued growth of MCO as one of the most significant investment trends in global football. As the Greek football ecosystem enters a new phase of development, with increasing competitiveness, stronger European performances, and expanding investment opportunities, MCO structures are expected to play an increasingly important role in the market.

Greece is emerging as an attractive destination for strategic football investors, and understanding the opportunities, challenges, and regulatory considerations surrounding multi-club ownership is becoming more relevant than ever.

We would like to thank the organisers of the 4th Beyond Football Conference for the invitation and the opportunity to contribute to this important discussion shaping the future of football.
