Oliwia Babiarz is an Attorney-at-Law admitted to the Katowice Bar Association with over 10 years of experience advising domestic and international clients on sports law, criminal law, immigration law, and cross-border legal matters.
She graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Silesia and completed postgraduate studies in Foreign and International Service at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, as well as postgraduate studies in the Prevention of Economic, Fiscal and Property Crime at the University of Warsaw.
Before entering private practice, she worked at the Political and Economic Department of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Athens, where she gained experience in international relations, diplomatic cooperation, and cross-border projects.
Her practice focuses on representing athletes, sports clubs, sports federations, and businesses in litigation, disciplinary proceedings, and arbitration. She advises on regulatory and contractual matters, drafts and negotiates sports-related agreements, and provides ongoing legal support to clubs, organisations, and professional athletes, with particular expertise in football and speedway.
She also advises companies and foreign nationals on immigration matters, including residence and work authorisation, and supports employers in the legal aspects of hiring third-country nationals.
Alongside her legal practice, Oliwia is actively involved in academia and professional organisations. She lectures in sports law, regularly speaks at national and international conferences, and serves as Special Secretary of the International Association of Sports Law (IASL). She is also Chair of the Sports and Integration Committee of the Katowice Bar Association and a member of the Polish Society of Sports Law.
